Actually, we went from 1-2 cm, and I go back on Tuesday to talk about being induced... it would be nice if it would happen naturally sooner than that, but we all know that will never happen. |

I thought last night might have been "time" but the longer i laid there in bed, the better i started feeling, and this morning, i feel like usual, just grumpy as hell at being awake this early.
We're (being Doug and I, if he will ever get out of bed) off to the doctor this morning, so she can confirm that no progress has been made and that i'm going to be pregnant until i'm 25 (hey, I'll at least get in guinness for that one).
I wonder if they will still write you a ticket for not wearing a seat belt if the damn thing doesn't fit over your pregnant belly... |

Eighth Grade
what you were like: For the first half of the year I was the leader of the pack… looking back, I almost feel like I was the mob boss… if we got in trouble, it’s because it was my idea, if we stayed out of trouble, it’s because I said it wasn’t a good idea… I was a bad-ass basketball player, had all the boys, and was truly everything I wanted to be, just didn’t know it… second half of the year, I was the scared, weird, sheltered new kid in a new city, new school, new world. I went from the top to the absolute bottom, and it sucked.
your favorite class: Mrs. Keith’s math class.

something random: I got a truancy ticket this year… but it got dismissed because the truant officer got arrested for letting little underage (15-16) year old girls drink and drive w/him in his jeep.
Ninth Grade
you were like: To quote Monica, “High school was a fucking jungle”, and I so agree. I used to refer to lunch time in the commons area as the “mad sea of people”. My school only had 1100 or so students, but we ALL had the SAME lunch time! And it really was a mad sea of people. I was again, alone in a new school, knowing nobody, feeling strange, and it sucked. Met Monica in choir, and that definitely was awesome.
what was your favorite class: French with good ol’ pushover Canard ;) Or maybe it was Algebra 1 with Jarnigan… who knows.
your best friend: Good ol’ Monica H. I love that girl!
you have a crush on: The black dude with the big head… what WAS his name… oh yes, Ronald Scott.
something random: It’s weird coming from a small private school where everybody knows everybody and everyone grew up together to this large strange place where you know nobody and really feel like you’re on a job interview trying to make new friends…
Tenth Grade
what were you like: A woman on a mission. I decided to graduate early, and really blew my own mind daily at just how freakin smart I really am. Made more friends and really found my place in the high school world this year… learned to love school, and all was great.
your favorite class: Mrs. Lee was the shit, wasn’t she? It’s gonna be a close tie between her and Mr. Burge, because they were both great, but I think I will give it to ol’ Bill Burge, for helping me develop my love for Hemingway, and for understanding that I really can write something of worth, it’s just WEIRD!
your best friend: Definitely Monica, if memory serves, we were moderately inseparable this year.

...Sasha's new-found facination with one-size-fits-all mumu's and bird sanctuaries really freaks me out, but it's funny at the same time...

Ok so Friday, dougie got back, hip hip hurray, i was totally thrilled. Me, Dougie, Stephanie and Rob went to see TX chainsaw massacre... totally worth seeing. I loved it and i dont like scary movies. Saturday dougie and i spent most of the day watching goonies in coleman's bed. then, saturday night after too many stops and changes of mind and everything else we went to TJ. That was a totally worthwhile experience. We had a great time dancing and they drank and stuff, but while we were dancing and not worrying, there are people outside, moms, sleeping on the sidewalks with their babies. It made me sad. The taxi drivers are crazy. 'nuff said. Sunday, dougie threw up in coleman's car on the way home, and then we just kinda laid around at home because dougie left his car keys in coleman's car and coleman went on a road trip. so we walked to horton plaza and looked around, went home and took a quick nap, coleman brought keys and then we went to target. picked up a couple necessities and then went home. then later, we went to see kill bill. only we got there at 8:45 and the next showing was at 9:50. i pointed out that we wouldnt get home till like 12:30-1:00 and i reminded dougie that he has to get up at 0600 and he said 'roger that' and we had dinner instead... me, dougie, and stephanie. then we went home and watched matrix reloaded, then went to bed! |

Today is day two of fourteen of Dougie's adventures in Virginia. I don't know how he is, what he's doing, or anything else like that... I don't even really know how I am. I couldn't sleep last night... I'm so worried, and I don't think I should be. I'm worried that he won't be coming home to me, that something is going to happen. That's my luck for the most part... maybe it won't be that way this time.
I am so thankful for my sister. Its amazing how people can grow up and accept their differences, build some bridges and get the fuck over things. At this point in time, I don't know what I would do without her. I'd feel incomplete.
I want to go home to Texas so bad. I could live without seeing my step-mom, and of course, I could live without the inevitable "go back to college" lectures, but in general, it would just be nice to go, and relax, and catch up, go through my stuff, sort through it, and totally move myself into one place, so I don't have to feel torn between two homes any more, because right now, like it or not, my home is here, and I need to feel 100% into it.
